Olympic Racing Class Associations

There are eight classes represented in the Olympics;
These are their official international sites:

There is a possibility that the Star Class will be reinstated in the Olympic line-up in the Sydney 2000 Games. The only other keel-boat in the list is the Soling. Read about the developments at Sailing.org, Star News

Class Associations:

One-Design Racing Classes, Owners Associations, and Brand Name Associations overlap to some degree. Some owners associations are also racing organizations as well; some are not. Some are for power boats; some are for sailboats. Associations might be for a single design or for a builder's entire line of boats (such as the Cape Dory Owners Association). I've made no attempt to divine the underlying purpose of the various organizations. Visit the sites to find out if your interests coincide with those of a particular organization. Most of the org's offer lots of incidental information about the boats they use (how to fix'em, where to get parts, etc.).
